SANTA PAULA EDUCATION FOUNDATION

Cathy Hicks has been a resident of Santa Paula for 35 years. A graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo she received a B.A. in Liberal Studies, furthered her education by obtaining a California Children Center Permit and has owned and operated Cathy Hicks Day Care for 20 years. A member of the Latino Town Hall and Kiwanis Club, Cathy currently serves as President of the Optimist Club of Santa Paula. She has served as Lieutenant Governor for Zone 3 for the Pacific Southwest Optimist and received the prestigious Honor Club President for 2015.

 

Serving for many years on the Student Attendance Review Board for Santa Paula High School, Cathy Hicks currently sits on the SARB Committee for Renaissance High School and was recognized in 2013 with the “Spirit Award” from the Ventura County SARB. Her years of community service were recently acknowledged as recipient of the Raymond Garcia Humanitarian Award in 2015 from Santa Paula’s Latino Town Hall.

 

She is married to husband Tim and has one daughter Erin who graduated from Santa Paula High School. They have one granddaughter Abigail.
