Xochitl Gomez,
Board Member

Ms. Gomez has lived in Santa Paula for 18 years. Ms. Gomez earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Health Education from California State University Northridge and her Master’s Degree in Counseling and Guidance and Pupil Personnel Services credential from California Lutheran University. She has been a school counselor in the Oxnard Union High School District for 17 years. Xochitl (pronounced sho-she) has been actively involved in Santa Paula as a den leader for cub scout troop 3305, briefly served on the SPUSD school board, and is currently a member of the SPUSD Citizens Bond Oversight Committee.

 

Additional community activities include treasurer for the Inlakech Cultural Center in Oxnard, Oxnard Boys and Girls Club, and ParentCare volunteer with Secure Beginnings in Oak View.
Ms. Gomez lives in Santa Paula with her husband and has three children, 2 grandchildren, 2 dogs and 4 hens.
