Jannette Jauregui,
Board Member

Jannette Jauregui is a native of Santa Paula. A fourth generation county resident, Jannette graduated from Santa Paula High School in 1999. She attended Ventura College before transferring to California Lutheran University (CLU) where she earned her bachelor's degree in Communication in 2003. She also holds a master's degree in Journalism from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. Jannette currently serves as a Communications Manager for the County of Ventura. 

 

Prior to her current position, Jannette served as Media Relations Coordinator and Adjunct Professor for CLU, Production Assistant and Associate Producer for NBC's TODAY show, Writer and Editor for the Pepperdine School of Law,  and Public Information Officer for the Ventura County Area Agency on Aging. Jannette also authored a column for the Ventura County Star from 2001-2014. The column, titled Of War and Life, profiled local military veterans.  Jannette is the author of four books, including Ventura County Veterans: World War II to Vietnam, Of War and Life: A Decade of Stories, A Man Named Jennings, and Dad’s Song from Heaven
